Sexuality: Homosexual. They'd thought it just a phase he was going through, a way to protest against his strict Catholic upbringing. He'd "come out of the closet" at the early age of fourteen because he'd felt it was a lie to not tell his adopted parents about his sexuality and Duo Maxwell might have been a lot of things but a liar wasn't one of them.

Occupation: None. His adopted family refuses to let him work, citing that he needs to focus more on his academics.

Appearance:
Duo Maxwell, a man of many moods and many expressions. It's typical; however, to see his mouth stretched into a wide cheerful grin and for his eyes, a remarkable almost violet color, to be dancing with some sort of mischief. The first thing people notice about him; however, tends to be his hair which is very long and usually pulled back into a braid for convenience sake. He's not overly tall being only about five foot six but he makes up for that with his powerful character. Duo is not the sort of person you can meet and then just forget. He tends to dress rather casually in well-worn jeans and whatever t-shirts he's scrounged from local thrift store shops. No designer labels on this guy that's for certain. He has a beat-up leather jacket that he's very protective of that was given to him as a present when he was sixteen.

Personality:
Duo's pretty over the top. He's loud, cheerful, energetic, and just about as outgoing as you can get. He's definitely not the wallflower type.

No one wants to dance with him? Well fine he'll dance alone. What do you mean he can't dance because there's no music?

That's not to say that he's entirely rose-tinted mind you. He's over-talkative, opinionated, stubborn, and his continuous cheerful mood can be very grating, especially to someone who prefers quiet activities. Duo's also a social butterfly for the most part, content to flit between groups of students and activities only switching to a new one when whatever he's currently doing is starting to loose his interest. He makes friends easily and it's not uncommon for him to decide he's good friends only minutes after meeting them.

Despite all this, he's got amazing grades, having a keen intellect and sharp eyes. He's not the sort to study but given his almost flawless recall of things he's seen or heard why would he need to?

History:

He knows very little about his real parents as they were killed when Duo was only three. From there he was taken in by the Maxwell Church Orphanage, where he would live for the next several years. At the age of twelve he was adopted by an older couple who'd never been able to have children of their own. They take him in and care for him as if he really was their own: putting up with his pranks, sexuality, and other such problems without putting up too much protest. They'd taken him away from everything he remembered (especially his best friend who he still thinks about to this day), they figured that it was understandable that he act out on occasion.

At the age of sixteen they show him his file, containing information on his real parents. His parents, had actually been friends with his adopted ones, they'd known who he was all along. His father had been a rather wealthy man, having made several wise choices in the stock market. When they'd been killed by the thief who'd wanted their car, all their money had passed on to their only son to be inherited by him on his eighteenth birthday.

The news that he was going to be rich didn't change Duo any, he remained the same as ever. However, it did help him determine what he was going to do with his life. Before he did anything he was going to find the man who'd murdered his parents and make him pay. Bringing the lowlife to justice was the least he could do for the ones who would have raised him had they but had the chance.

Now he's eighteen and ready to get going. Using his inheritance to pay for his schooling, he enrolls in a prestigious university and majors in criminology. He would do right by his parents, the perks to the school were just that, side bonuses that were rather nice. He wouldn't forget why he was there though or where he'd come from.
